I closed my eyes when you embraced me,
Under that winter sun when you kissed my soul,
When you wiped the tears of my suffering and fear,
and promised to hold my hand, once and for all,
When you rescued me from my dying dreams,
And together we built that white castle in yours,
You loved me, told me how much more I can achieve,
And I whispered to my heart, you are my achievement greater, above all.

I remember the darkness, that painful wait for the light of dawn,
You waited with me, holding me close to your breath,
And you sung me that love-song all night long,
I forgot the wait for light after a while, for you became my sun,
You filled me with life, my heart with joy,
my mind with courage and my trembling voice with hum.

I wrote you poems, got you balloons and flowers,
And you cared for me always with all your heart,
Together we lived, fought, loved and old we grew,
You walked all the paths beside me, and showed me world anew,
And after all this time I know,
that all I never want to lose, is ‘you’.
